ABOUT
AmeriCorps VISTA is a full-time national service program for organizations interested in developing lasting solutions to address poverty. Nonprofit organizations, Native American Tribes, and state, city, and local government agencies are eligible to apply to be AmeriCorps VISTA host sites with the United Way of NW MI VISTA project. Proposed projects should focus on any of the following three CNCS focus areas: 1) Economic Opportunity, 2) Education, or 3) Healthy Futures.
WHO WE ARE.
Since 1965, AmeriCorps VISTA members have brought their passion and perseverance where the need is greatest: to organizations that help alleviate poverty. Today, over 8,000 AmeriCorps VISTA members are serving as catalysts for change, living and working alongside community members to advance local solutions.

Living Allowance
Receive a modest bi-weekly living allowance to cover basic expenses.
End of Service Award
Choose between the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award to pay for a range of education expenses or a cash stipend.
